WHAT IS AN ITIN?
An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a United States tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service for those who need to file a federal tax return but aren't eligible for a Social Security number.
Under the PATH Act, taxpayers who have not used an ITIN on a tax return in the last 3 years or those with the middle digits of 70,71,72 and 80 must renew their ITIN with the filing of you current year Tax Return. The renewal period began July 22, 2016.
Our Certified Acceptance Agent can verify your supporting documents, which means you only have to send copies to the IRS and can take the originals with you.
